Mahler Momentum: Hannah Schneider & Henrik Marstal

Through samplings and loops of music by the late romanticist and classical composer Gustav Mahler, Hannah Schneider, Henrik Marstal and Justin Albrechtsen will orchestrate a number of the most ambient passages in Mahler’s symphonies and orchestral music. With Hannah Schneider on synthesizers, loop-pedals and vocals and Henrik Marstal on baryton guitaras well as various electronic sounding bodies there will be elaborated freely on Mahler’s flowing, slow-paced tones and open surfaces along with a visual side by Justin Albrechtsen. Mahler in a dialogue with the 21st century.
