Kresten Osgood Trio

This impressive new trio moves expressively between free improvisational music and radical artistic music. The drum virtuoso Kresten Osgood is one of the essential front figures of the Danish avant-garde scene, and together with him on stage tonight he has Peter Friis Nielsen on electric bass and the saxophonist Laura Toxværd.Friis Nielsen and Toxværd have previously cooperated on projects such as “Havens Fugle” and Toxværd has furthermore been praised by the acknowledged magazine The Wire, having named her stile “geometric post-jazz”. In addition, her album debut was elected one of the best new debut records by “All About Jazz” in New York. The trio has proclaimed that they on this evening will be playing nothing less than the music of the future.
