Grandma Lo-Fi (film)

Grandma lo-fi is a fantastic, wry movie about a lady, who at the age of 70 begins to practice her musical talent. With a mixture of 8mm-cuts and animation, the funny story about Sigrídur Níelsdóttir – better known as grandma lo-fi - is told. She got to produce no less than 60 records during her short 10-year career. After her death her music has travelled worldwide and achieved status as cult among different artists such as Björk, múm, Mugison, Slowblow and Seabear. In the movie you can among other things hear Grandma lo-fi tell about the great topics of music counting thoughts about cowboys, the Atlantic fog and elephants.
