Felix Kubin

Flamboyant electro-popper and Dadaistic cartoon hero are some of the tags given to German performance artist and musician Felix Kubin. It is possible to draw parallels between his audio-universe and that of both Kraftwerk and the early electronic pioneers, and it takes place in an area between what is kitsch and what is avant-garde. Kubin is without a doubt a true crank, whose fondness of synthesizers, drum-machines and computer software from the 80’s has given him status as cult. This evening Kubin performs the audio-visual show Paraelektronoia that explores the field between electricity and the paranormal.
