Yoshimitsu Ichiraku: DoraVideo

DoraVideo is the latest project from the crazy and world-renowned Japanese drummer Yoshimitsu Ichiraku, who mixes live-drumming with video-clips from films, tv-shows, commercials, news spots, sports, political incidents and much, much more that are cut and shaken leaving a rhythmic, pulsating collage. The music draws from rock, free jazz, disco and electronic impulses, and is a musical and visual dive through modern popular culture. Musicians such as Otomo Yoshihide, Senju Muneomi (Boredoms) og Sonic Youth’s former guitar player Jim O’Rourke have earlier taken part in the great number of improvisational concerts made by DoraVideo.
