Concert

WUNDERGRUND at RÅHUSET - TICKETS: DDK 80,-/50,-
1. PART: SVARTBAG/SIMON CHRISTENSEN/MARIA HANKE
Danish composer Simon Christensen stands behind tonight’s concert, where two opposite musical genres will be united in an exciting new form. The Danish instrumental rock band Svartbag meets classical singer Maria Hanke in new compositions arranged by Simon Christensen. Svartbag has since the 1990’ies played instrumental rock, where residues of punk, minimalism and German kraut rock appear. It is repetitive music with a dreamy and epic touch. Maria Hanke is a Danish mezzo-soprano, who has marked herself as a curious artist who always tries to challenge the possibilities of her own voice. She has sung in many different constellations within new music and opera – and now she joins new territory...
Line-up: Anders Rex (guitar, sampler & electronics), Niels Ladefoged (guitar, sampler & electronics), Peter Kyed (electronics & real-sounds) + Simon Christensen (drums and more) & Maria Hanke (mezzosopran, noise)
2. PART: RUMPISTOL/IDA NØRHOLM/HELENA HØJGAARD
Jens Berents Christiansen stands behind the Danish electronic one-man band Rumpistol. He has been a busy man lately, playing at many festivals around Denmark such as Roskilde Festival and Strøm and touring in Beijing. Tonight you can experience Rumpistol’s magic electronic music mixed with new classical sounds delivered by special guests Danish cellist Ida Nørholm and violinist Helena Højgaard.
Line-up: Jens B. Christiansen (electronics) + special guests Ida Nørholm (cello) & Helena Højgaard (violin)
