LITTLE RED SUITCASE/JAKOB JØRGENSEN + LULLABIES

Wasteland & scary musicboxes
02/11/2009 - 20:00

WUNDERGRUND at LITERATURHAUS - Tickets: DDK 80,-/50,-

Two concerts curated by Jesper Holmen, are both characterized by uniting the somber and the pompous in unpretentious environments.

At the first concert, by Little Red Suitcase, (Joanna Borchert and Elena Setien) you can expect music inspired by: “a broken smelly accordeon, the cat stepping on the piano keys, mum frying eggs in the evening, playing a horn from the Alps on a balcony, screaming at the beach”! The red suitcase contains sailor stories, romantic pathos, serious curiosities and rusty whiskey voices. In the special occasion of the night, they have made an alliance with the furniture and room designer Jakob Jørgensen. He has produces all the instruments! Fascinated by the gold, silent and harsh landscape of Greenland, helped by the actress Marion Reuters, a wasteland will be build up in Literaturhaus!

At the second concert, with Lullabies, you will meet fragile mechanics and simple melodies, crunched by merciless modern technology. The little, crispy lullabies played on music boxes, is long from innocent. The naïve and cracking melody is hiding monsters under the bed! The lullabies will be presented in co-operation with accordionist Frode Andersen, sound stage manager Ejnar Kanding, saxophonist Torben Snekkestad and video producer Anders Elberling. A night giving you disturbing and wondrous experiences and awakening your senses in unforeseen crossovers!

MCA is directly involved in a story I believe there may not be journalistic independence in the Star's 70-432 reports. Tell me if I am wrong. Since PwC's audit report was made public there have been many headlines and some letters in The Star hailing and 220-702 commending you the minister, Najib the PM and the BN government in general for starting a new direction towards transparency, accountability and openness. However I will 640-553 just refer to two such items in the Saturday, 30 May 2009 edition of The Star, a news item and a letter from a reader. News item headlined "KUDOS TO NAJIB AND TEE KEAT" on page N3 hails move by government to release PKFZ 642-436 findings in entirety. This news item also includes fawning commendations to both PM Najib and you
