ABOUT WUNDERGRUND


Wundergrund is the annual festival for contemporary music and sound art in Copenhagen organized by SNYK. The festival sets the scene for notable meetings between new experimental music and other art-milieus. Wundergrund always tries to challenge the crowd, musicians, genre-borders, meanings, scenarios and other creative fields – as well as Wundergrund itself.

Wundergrund has worked with both Danish and international personages, ensembles and composers across the underground and the mainstream since early 2006. Wundergrund on tour is an initiative where some of the productions of the festival make guest performances at other Danish festivals such as; Roskilde Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Spot festival and Strøm festival. Wundergrund also initiates research-networks and showcases with other creative branches and also children- and youth-workshops in the Region.
